Strawberries are the basis for some of the best fruit desserts, from strawberry shortcake to summer pudding. After a heavy meal, though, you might regret eating something so rich and luxurious. But here is a strawberry dish that not only is delicious and intriguing but also can compete with plain fruit in its lightness.
Ingredients:
Fresh Strawberries, Balsamic Vinegar, Sugar, Freshly Ground Black Pepper, Vanilla Ice Cream and Grated Lemon Zest.

Strawberries with Freshly Ground Black Pepper

This is a unique, gourmet way to serve this fantastic summer fruit! The balsamic vinegar brings out the berries' beautiful color and truly enhances their flavor. Great served with a simple pound cake, over vanilla ice cream, or simply by themselves.


Ingredients:
Fresh Strawberries, Balsamic Vinegar, Sugar and Freshly Ground Black Pepper.

Panna Cotta with Balsamic Strawberries

Strawberries do not keep well so they should be prepared and eaten the same day. If made more than a few hours ahead of time they are mushy and texturally unappealing.


Ingredients:
Unflavored Gelatin Powdered, Cold Water, Heavy Cream, Milk Yogurt, Vanilla extract, Vanilla Bean, Sugar, Fresh Strawberries, Balsamic Vinegar, Ground Black Pepper, Grated lemon Zest.

Fresh Strawberries Parfaits with Vanilla IceCream

Strawberries with balsamic vinegar will not hold for any length of time. You can sugar the berries an hour or two before serving them, but no longer. Sprinkle on the vinegar and pepper, very judiciously, just before serving. Feel free to mix in some blackberries or blueberries for color; their addition is a striking one.

Fresh Strawberries, Balsamic Vinegar, Sugar, Black Peppercorn, Kirsh, Vanilla IceCream, Sweetened Whipped Cream.

Balsamic Vinegar Spiked Strawberries

The balsamic vinegar draws out and emphasizes the flavor of the strawberries.
And the natural juice of the strawberries blends nicely with the vinegar so that the end result is a delicious syrup-like sauce that forms into a strawberry marinade.
