5 Tasty and Simple Breakfast Ideas for Kids

We all know how important breakfast is to get our bodies up and running. When we wake up in the morning, we need fuel to get our blood sugar up and get our brains functioning. This is especially important for kids.

Here are some ideas to get your kiddos fueled up and ready to rock in the mornings. All of these recipes are fairly quick and easy.

Healthy Green Breakfast Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to painlessly get your kids to eat (or drink, as the case may be) fruits, veggies, fats and proteins for breakfast.

Adding leafy greens like kale and spinach and sweeter veggies like carrots and sweet peas to a fruit smoothie may sound gross, but the flavors are almost completely overridden by the sweet and tart flavors of the fruit and the creaminess of the yogurt.

The coconut oil adds healthy fats that help support brain function. I pinkie promise, this green smoothie recipe has been tested by my own very picky eaters and they love it.

Freezing all the fruits and veggies before blending produces a frozen treat that kids will ask for again and again!
